We bought a house!

So, my first blog post and the biggest thing to happen is that we're buying a house.

I didn't think this would be the big news I start blogging about, but what an adventure it has been. I guess between the low housing prices and the 1st time homebuyer's tax credit, it seemed to be the right thing to do. And although I could blog about the whole process and what I've learned, I think it will be much more interesting to document our move and makeover.

So, after searching high and low for the last 6 months, we found ourselves a cute little ranch house just blocks from the urban growth boundary. It's really darling, and I'm so excited to get in there and start work on it. Just another 10 days until we close!
